The Red Feather Inn is a collection of notable buildings located in Hadspen near Launceston. Famed colonial Georgian architect John Sprunt built the Inn with convict labour circa 1842. First licensed in 1844, it was one of Van Diemen’s Land first coaching Inns.
Proprietor Lydia Nettlefold has reinvented the Red Feather Inn in her vision of Georgian dancing with French provincial. This combined with the ultimate in modern comforts creates a unique atmosphere in this endemic Tasmanian heritage treasure, now the perfect luxury retreat for intimate getaways or very special gatherings.
Completed in autumn 2008, each suite is beautifully appointed overlooking the secluded garden. All feature superior quality beds, state of the art free-standing baths with endless hot water, gas log heating and more. Curl up in our sitting room with a book or meet new friends over breakfast in the dining room. The premises are fully licensed and there is ample off-street parking.
