Lake Tinaroo is an easy one and a half hours drive west of Cairns on the Atherton Tableands. It is a stocked dam and fisherman flock to the dam to try to catch the elusive Barramundi, or 'Barra' as it is more commonly called. Barra fishing is open all year round at Lake Tinaroo! So, no matter when you are visiting you can throw a line in and try your luck.
