On our way to Brisbane we found “Dutch gold”. Plenty delicious snacks to choose from. I liked the Dutch scenery they build in the backyard with some of the famous Dutch buildings. Nice place to stop for a quick bite of Dutch flavor.
This is one of those places you go to on hols that you really unexpectedly enjoy ! I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised Firstly the little village of Dutch architecture over the centuries set around a canal is so amazing Someone with hours of patience has made incredible tiny houses churches and barns with intricate details- made me quite nostalgic for Europe Perfect for seniors as easy accessibility We laughed at the wildlife visiting this village - a water dragon in the tiny canal was like Godzilla! & a baby bush turkey hiding between the houses was like a giant in the village The kids got a bit of a history lesson which doesn’t hurt ! Then we made our way into the busy cafe I ordered pancakes which were absolutely delicious They were over an inch thick and as big as a dinner plate - definitely share as very filling My friends had traditional Dutch croquettes which were delicious The kids had mango smoothies served in glass mugs - nice! Friendly and efficient service. Memorable.
