Pickup was on time and the guide was very knowledgeable. If you don't have a car to see Uluru this is a great experience. As we had a car I think a better option for us would have been to self tour and book the free ranger walk or Aboriginal guide to learn about Aboriginal culture. We aren't huge "group tourers" and we only booked as we had imagined that we would have an Aboriginal guide to tell us about the indigenous history of the area. This was poor research on my behalf. It appears to be difficult to find Aboriginal led tours in the area. While not what we expected, we all still enjoyed this tour. Our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable about the area. The tour is well run and professional. We had a great time but just didn't like fitting to the group schedule as we are far too used to doing our own thing! I'd recommend for people who are staying at Ayers Rock resort and would like a fully guided tour around the rock.

Our guide Martin was fantastic. The supplied breakfast was substantial: I had a gluten free pack, gluten free museli cereal, hot water flask to make coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, sugar, snake pack fruit in juice, gluten free protein bar. Cold water bottle. An easy level 12km walk with a number of stops for information. Some geology, history, stories, folklore. Truely educational, with amazing sights.

Andy was amazing. He took extra care of two of us with walking difficulties. We cannot thank him enough for his informative guidance around the most amazing Uluru.

Fabulous guided walk by an extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide, Jessie. We really enjoyed an opportunity to hear all about the history, culture and shared stories with a small group. A great way to see and hear everything you need to at the best time of day for a long walk.

Being up close to the rock and learning the history of the park hand back and the previous unregulated visits. The significance of the rock to the local people and how the rock came to be

There is no other way to truly experience and appreciate Uluru than by doing a guided base walk. Jacob was our driver and Jessie was our guide for the day. We had a small group of 8 people and it was just perfect. We were provided with breakfast bags containing juice, cereal, banana bread, muesli bar and nuts. Jessie was a great guide, you could really feel her experience and excitement for Uluru, which in turn made us all feel like we were part of something truly special. It is not a difficult walk but definitely recommend good walking shoes and water. It was windier than expected so thankfully didn't need the flynet on our morning tour but definitely heed all the advice to dress in layers. For a good portion of the walk we weren't in the sun which made it a pleasant walk but for others on the tour who expected the heat, were a bit chilly for the walk. If you get the chance, I definitely recommend the guided base walk. It's a totally different experience when you have a guide being able to share the Tjukurpa (stories) that explain the significance of different Tjukuritja (physical evidence on Uluru). And when you get the chance, just sit and let the spirit of Uluru envelope you, it's truly magical.

We were blessed to do the Sunrise Guided Base Walk yesterday. We had a small group of 7 and our wonderful Tour Guide Sara attended to our every need and her knowledge of Uluru and its indigenous people was exceptional. Sara guided us through a relaxing informative walk and was able to point our different features of Uluru that we would not have been aware of without her. Thank you Sara you are an amazing young woman and this was a highlight of of our trip to Yulara. The Buckets!!

The first tour of our Uluru trip was the guided base walk and I am so glad it was. Our guide Gary was fantastic! He was so friendly, organised and knowledgeable. He really made the tour a standout. I was really impressed with the breakfast bags that were given to us at the start of the tour as I thought this was a nice touch. We were lucky enough to have a small group, so we were able to have all of our questions answered and it felt like the tour was especially tailored for us. I really loved the stories and history that Gary shared with us. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Uluru. While you can always do the base walk on your own, it's much better to have someone guide you through it and share their knowledge with you.

Needed, good shoes, water and a hat. The guided walk gave us more information and knowledge behind what we saw. Our guide, Jacob was very good, enthusiastic but relaxed, he spoke passionately about his subject. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
